What to do....I just don't know!

Sorry that I've been gone so long, I've been in quite a turmoil personally.
First of all, I've set the date for my retirement and then I've been trying to decide whether to sell this house and move to another one. Yes, that's right move!!!

Here's the reason why. Even though I love this house, it only has 2 bedrooms, which is really all that we need. There are just the two of us, but when I retire I want to start doing a lot of sewing and crafts and I don't have a place for all of the "stuff". I've got a huge stash of fabric that I have squirreled away in various places in the house but I'd love to have it all in one area so I can see what I have and use it effectively. I also have a huge supply of scrapbook and card making supplies that again are stashed in different places. Enough said.

I need a place to put all this stuff together and where I can leave out my machine, etc. without my whole house looking a mess. I've been looking at some different houses that give me a place to have my studio. I've put my house on the market, then taken it off.....It's down to either taking a part of my garage and building a room or get a different house with an extra crafting space. I have to make up my mind soon so I can get the show on the road before I retire... so if you don't hear from me for awhile it's because I'm still in limbo until I get this situation settled. Thanks for your patience. I'll be back.

Congrats! on retiring and hope you are able to come to a decision that puts you at peace. I guess one of the main things is how in love are you with your neighborhood and the people there.

It is wonderful that you will be able to retire. It is a tough decision for sure. I guess it would depend on your finances and what would be the cheaper way to go. build or move... I think things all work out for the best if you take your time and let that decision come to you. It will for sure. just one day it will pop into your mind and be made.

Good for you on thinking ahead about your lifestyle. I am currently in the process of turning an extra bedroom into my workroom for sewing and crafting.

Congratulations on your retirement.
Happy House hunting, I'm sure you'll find the right one.

Get a four bedroom house- one for you, one for your crafts, one for storage of craft supplies and one for guests.

...that sounds like a good plan, but four bedrooms is twice as much cleaning as two bedrooms...

Rock Chalk!

Good luck, that is a big decision to make! A craft room is a great thing to have, and a door to shut on the mess is delightful!

Oh, decisions...I hate 'em! Both options make sense. GL on deciding.
Take care,
