This little vignette is inside the armoire in my bedroom. I have temporarily papered the inside of the armoire with old sheet music and some pretty boxes . Also some old baby shoes and a compote filled with silk and dried roses. I bought this compote in Maryland many years ago.
The top shelf of this armoire is filled with pretties and the lower shelves house my small TV and my DVD's and CD's as well as a small portable stereo. I open the doors to watch TV but otherwise everything is hidden from view.

Hey there, Good to see you back. I enjoy all your posts... no matter what. Is that Marjolene Basten's work on those boxes? I used to love her stuff when it first came out, but then Hallmark got alhold of it and just ruined it for me. I swear, you could probably have purchased toilet paper with her artwork on it. Oh well.
Did you get your wallpaper in yet? I'm so confused. And the border?? See, I am confused. Tell me O "Enlightened One".. :)
Hugs to you,
Penny Sue
Oh yeah, and what music in the background? I'm really confused now! lol :)
Oh, Sandy, that is a beautiful little vignette you have made there. It's so romantic and I love the music sheets for the background. Music and flowers....what more could a gal want?
Love the idea of paper with sheet music. Do you use wallpaper paste and do you attach it by other means? Thanks for sharing.
So glad to hear you got your wallpaper. I look forward to seeing photos whenever you get to it. Take your time. If one piece at a time is what it takes, then one piece at a time it should be.
I'm heartbroken that you did all that baking and cooking... and no pics? Homemade bread and soup would have been Heaven in a bowl. And then a nice sweet banana bread for dessert or snack, or both? :) What kind of soup did you make? I could live off soups and stews and a loaf of crusty italian bread... you know, the kind that has a nice thin flakey crust on the outside, and the bread inside just melts in your mouth? Yep, that's what I'm talkin' about! Hope you enjoy your Halloween.
Hugs,
Penny Sue
I love sheet music paper, very nice to decorate with huh?
I enjoy visiting your beautiful blog.

It looks so pretty! And now I am caught up on your blog until your next post. Hope all is well with you!
Thank you SO much... I'm going to try the coffee. I definitely want a warm brown color. For the staining process, should I use hot, warm or cold water? And as for setting the stain with the two cups of white vinegar, I presume I should use cold water?
I am torn between a medium olive green, or a medium brown. I'm planning on painting the ceiling a shade or two lighter than whatever wall color I choose. It's not a huge room, but there is a lower ceiling in there than most of the rooms in my house. So, in order to make the room seem "taller", I've read that you should paint it a shade or two lighter than the color used on the wall.
Thanks for your faithful friendship. I appreciate your advice. Sometimes I get pretty discouraged that hardly any people read my blog, or if they read it, they don't leave me comments. For all the hard work it is to post, upload pics, and try to keep it real but interesting, sometimes I don't feel like it's worth it.
Hopefully, I'll snap out of it.
Hugs,
Penny Sue
That is super cute!!
